Why Subscribe?

Perfunktory is a newsletter that aims to break down trending subjects in the field of Music, Technology, Gaming and Culture as perfunctorily1 as possible. Keeping it perfunctory helps the discourse to be as candid as it can be.

Due to today’s ‘content’ overload, it becomes difficult to cut out the noise and get to the bottom of what is happening around us. With this newsletter, I aim to build a community that is excited to discuss trending subjects and share knowledge with each other.

Things that I would be writing about but then again not limited to:

• Music ranging from new releases, technology and business news.

• Technology and how it can be leveraged to help you and your business grow.

• Gaming, why it is the future and how the Metaverse will draw all of us in.

• Culture and what drives today’s Millennial and the Gen Z.

• Anything and everything from Side Hustles to Stoicism, from NoCode to NFTs.

About Me

Hey! I’m Ravdeep and I have been working in the Music Industry for the last 3 years, trying to build tools that aid and assist the modern musician.

2018 to NOW

• Started a Music Marketing Agency called VFLAMBDA back in 2018, offering a single-window access for all the services needed by independent musicians to get their music across to the right audience.

• Launched it as a consequence of having difficulty in finding the right opportunities and information as an independent musician myself, and not knowing how to go about making a career in the music business.

• In the past 3 years, gained a great deal of experience in the music industry and also started selling official licensed merchandise for artists such as Deadmau5, Marshmello, Skrillex, Kygo, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Tiesto and DJ Snake.

• Currently working on a Music Tech platform that has the potential to solve a big problem in today’s music space and will also help unlock more revenue for musicians.
